    Winter and Spring Breaks

The administrative offices of the College are normally closed between Christmas Eve and New Year's Day. All full-time administrative and staff employees are entitled to five days of paid winter holiday, exclusive of Christmas Day and New Year's Day. This break is prorated for regular part-time employees according to their regular workweek schedule. This break is also prorated for casual employees who work regularly but less than 21 hours each week.

After three months of service, all full-time administrative and staff employees are entitled to five days of paid holiday time during the College's Spring Break. This break is prorated for regular part-time employees according to their regular workweek schedule. Casual employees are not entitled to take paid time off during Spring Break.

Except in unusual circumstances (for instance, required department coverage over the holiday period), these vacation times may not be held over for use at other times of the year. Exceptions must be approved in writing -- in advance of the holiday period -- by your Department Head and the Director of Human Resources.
