    We remember the following faculty who were vital members of the Sarah Lawrence community:

    Glenda Adams, who taught writing from 1976 to 1990, died on July 7, 2007.

    Rudolf Arnheim, who taught psychology from 1943 to 1968, died on June 9, 2007. See page 25 for more information.

    Geraldine L. Branca, the beloved Westlands desk supervisor from 1967 to 2007, died on March 13, 2007.

    Jane Silsdorf Dahlberg, associate dean from 1968 to 1970, died on May 17, 2007.

    Edith Yalden-Thomson Durand, who taught economics from 1946 to 1954, died on April 27, 2007.

    Lillian Bachrach Farber MA ’66, who played a variety of administrative roles at the College from 1965 to 1976, including Upward Bound supervisor and associate dean for student services, died July 23, 2007.

    Walter Hendl, who taught music from 1931 to 1941, died on April 10, 2007.

    Edward Loskywitz, a Westlands Gate officer from 1985 to 2007, died on March 28, 2007.

    Nancy O’Neil Sachtjen, alumnae/i relations staff from 1955 to 1956, died on July 7, 2007

    Grace Paley, who taught writing from 1966 to 1989, died on August 22, 2007. See page 25 for more information.

    Carole Shaner, library staff member from 1970 to 2006, died May 7, 2007.

    Robert Tannenbaum, who taught history from 1976 to 1984, died in October 2006.
