The Third Sarah Lawrence Symposium will be "Human Universals: Facts and/or Fiction?" Leah Olson (biology), Robert Desjarlais (anthropology), Nancy Baker (philosophy), and Elizabeth Johnston (psychology) will explore this question, using examples from their respective disciplines to illustrate what it means to think about "human universals."
