    The Sarah Lawrence College Theatre program, listed among the 20 Best College Theatre programs by The Princeton Review, offers an advanced study of theatre that is:

    Our Faculty

    Dan HurlinDirector of the Graduate Program in Theatre, Dan Hurlin is an alumnus of Sarah Lawrence. Dan is the recipient of a Village Voice OBIE Award, fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts, a Guggenheim fellowship, the Alpert Award in the Arts for Theatre, and grants from Creative Capital, the Rockefeller Foundation, and the New York State Council on the Arts to name a few.

    Christine FarrellTheatre Program Director Christine Farrell has been on the faculty since 1991. An actress, playwright, and director, her television, film, and stage acting credits include Law and Order, Ice Storm, Fatal Attraction, Comedy of Errors, and The Dining Room. She has written two published plays, Mama Drama and The Once Attractive Woman, and has performed improv around the world.

    Theatre Outreach

    This training program uses music, writing, theatre techniques and the visual arts to address social and community issues. Grounded in a two-hour weekly core class, the program sends students into the community, merging the skills of the artist with the needs of society.
