Where can I shop?
Sarah Lawrence is located near the town center of Bronxville, Mount Vernon, Yonkers, the Cross County Mall, and Westchester’s Ridge Hill Shopping Center. There are many places to shop, eat, and attend movies.
On Campus
The Campus Bookstore has many of your everyday needs, including notebooks, school apparel, and texts for classes. Text book rental is available.

Bronx River Pathway
The pathway is walking distance from the school’s campus and runs north-south from Mount Vernon to Valhalla. The trail runs 9.6 miles and parallels the Bronx River Parkway. The pathway is part of the Bronx River Reservation, an 807 acre linear park that was established when the Bronx River Parkway was being built.

How do I get to the Village of Bronxville?
Shuttle Service
When residence halls are open, there is a free evening/late night shuttle from Westlands Gate to Bronxville train station, where Metro-North offers train service to New York City and points north of campus. The shuttle delivers riders to all southbound trains and meets all northbound trains from 5:40 p.m. until the time of the last train. Riders must present a valid SLC I.D. to use the shuttle.
Thevillage is also within short walking distance of the campus. Students sometimes take a cab to or from the station, and the most convenient cab company to call is Bronxville Taxi.
How do I get to New York City?
The Metro-North train station is a short walk from campus (approximately 15 minutes). Campus shuttles take students to and from the train station during night hours. Trains usually run every half hour during peak hours, every hour during off-peak hours, and every hour on the weekend.
There is also a Saturday Shuttle to the Metropolitan Museum of Art (give link of shuttle).
How do I park on campus?
Issued by Operations and Facilities, parking permits for graduate students are available in Kober Parking Lot near the Campbell Sports Center for a fee of $200 for the academic year to cover administrative costs. Students may purchase a single-semester permit for $100. This fee may be paid with cash or check when the permit is issued, or a student may opt to have the fee charged to his or her student account. The fee is nonrefundable. The cost of a permit is not prorated. Only one permit sticker at a time will be issued per student. Students must reregister their vehicles and obtain new permits every academic year.
To register for a parking permit, all students must have their license, registration, and insurance information.
