    Associates

Generous support keeps the Sarah Lawrence community vital and eclectic

Annually, The Fund for Sarah Lawrence receives leadership gifts from over 500 alumni, parents, and friends. We are proud to recognize these leadership donors with the honorary title of Associate. Together, our SLC Associates donate 85% of the total amount given to the Fund each year. Within the prestigious Associates program we recognize generous circles:

    • The Founders’ Circle: $50,000 and above
    • The President’s Circle: $25,000-$49,999
    • Dean’s Circle: $10,000-$24,999
    • Sustainer: $5,000-$9,999
    • Patron: $2,500-$4,999
    • Sponsor: $1,000-$2,499
    • Black Squirrel (graduated 6-10 years ago): $500-$999
    • Young Alumni (graduated 0-5 years ago): $250

The most important benefit of becoming an Associate is the knowledge that you are helping Sarah Lawrence College to thrive today and in the future. Additionally we recognize and reward your leadership commitment to the College. We continue to think of new ways to thank our leadership donors, and some ways we say thanks include:

    • Invitations to Associate-only events
    • Special invitations to on-campus events

FSL’s Associates decide to make their leadership gifts to the College for many reasons. Meet some of our Associates to find out why some give, or click here to make your own leadership gift and become an Associate.

    Ruth Wilmot Anderson '29 Society

Honoring donors who make gifts to the Fund for five consecutive years or more

The Society’s namesake was the first graduate of the College (and the only graduate in 1929).  Ruth Wilmot ’29 established The Fund for Sarah Lawrence in 1930 with a gift of $25—“quite a lot to me in those Depression years,” she later said—and made a gift every year until her death in 1992.

Over the past 80 years the College has proudly acknowledged gifts from many generous donors; alumnae/i, parents, and friends who continue to support our students through The Fund for Sarah Lawrence. The College thanks and acknowledges our most loyal supporters—those who have made gifts to The Fund for Sarah Lawrence in any amount for five consecutive years or more—with membership in the Ruth Wilmot Anderson ’29 Society.

The Fund for Sarah Lawrence meets a breadth of important needs not covered by tuition revenues—from library acquisitions to support for faculty development programs—that benefit every student. Ruth Wilmot Anderson’29 Society members’ contributions have played a significant role in enhancing the quality of the educational experience at Sarah Lawrence.

Give today to continue the tradition established by Ruth Wilmot Anderson ’29.
