    Barbara Probst Solomon

    Ms. Solomon has just finished her new novel The King of Paris. Like many of her other novels it mixes fiction with history. Her essays have appeared in The New York Times, The New Yorker, The New York Review of Books, Socialist Commentary (London), The Village Voiced, Vogue, Harpers, The Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, The New Republic, Commentary, The Nation, Partisan Review, Dissent, The Village Voice; in France in L’Infini (Gallimard), L’Evénement du Jeudi and Lettre Internationale; in Mexico in Letras Libre, in Italy in “La Republica.” Last fall she received the prestigious Antonio de Sancha award, previously awarded to the French Former Minister of Culture Jack Lang and the director of UNESCO, for upholding literary values. She has made two award winning documentaries: “When the War Was Over” and “The Anatomy of Cindy Fink,” and is publisher of Great Marsh Press/The Reading Room.
