Faces of Progressive Education in the 21st Century:
    Infancy through College
    April 5-6, 2013

This conference commemorates the Child Development Institute's (CDI) 25th anniversary, the Early Childhood Center's (ECC) 75th anniversary, and Sarah Lawrence College's long history of innovative education.

In light of the current national dialogue surrounding what the purposes of early childhood, public school, and higher education should be, it is a critical time for educators, child development professionals, administrators, and parents to come together and engage in a discourse around what meaningful education is in the 21st century. This conference provides a forum for articulation and discussion of progressive education’s opportunities and challenges impacting children from birth to college.
