Interview Requests
Personal Interviews (for seniors and transfers)
Personal interviews are not a required part of the Sarah Lawrence application process, but they can provide an opportunity for students to talk individually with an admission representative to learn more about the College. You should think of the interview not as a trial to be endured but as an opportunity to interview us—to ask the questions you want to ask, to meet personally with someone who knows the College well, and to get a sense of how your needs and interests would be met by Sarah Lawrence. Current seniors or admission staff conduct interviews on campus, while our alumnae/i conduct off-campus interviews. Please note that if you are unable to interview on campus or meet with an alumnae/i interviewer, this will not be held against you in the admission process.
On-campus interviews are available, by appointment, for first-year applicants from April through mid-December, and for transfer applicants from April through February. Saturday interviews are available, by appointment, from October through mid-December. We are also pleased to offer prospective students the chance to interview with trained alumnae/i volunteers in their home area. Alumnae/i interviews are available from April through mid-December for first-year applicants, and from April through February for transfer applicants. While we will try to accommodate your request, alumnae/i interviews are not guaranteed.
If you are interested in speaking with an SLC alum in your area, please fill out the Alumnae/i Interview Request form and we will contact you soon. If you have any questions or concerns about this process, please contact Aiden Bussey, Alumnae/i Program Coordinator, at rbussey@sarahlawrence.edu.
