Transferring to SLC

Transfer students want more for themselves. They arrive at Sarah Lawrence knowing they’ll find not a list of prescribed majors but the freedom to choose and combine courses from many disciplines. Students passionate about the arts can delve deeply without the narrow confines of a conservatory. Those looking toward a career in science can also pursue other interests, such as history or poetry. Whatever the limitations of your previous experience, here you’ll find the breadth and grounding of the liberal arts alongside opportunities for advanced research and scholarship. As you join in the excitement of small seminars and meet one on one with professors, you’ll see the difference Sarah Lawrence makes.

We welcome transfer applications from students who will have successfully completed at least one full year of college (about 30 credits) and who expect to spend at least two consecutive years at Sarah Lawrence College. Students with courses in progress at the time of our application deadline may still apply provided they will have finished one full year of college work by the time they enroll at SLC.
